So are you working on a Christmas Daily Book? Tomorrow (12/01/10) it all begins! I can’t wait! This year I got my book all ready ahead of time, taking the Teresa Collins Christmas Daily class at She Scrapbooks. SO GLAD I did that! I am going to try really hard to keep up with it so it progresses through the month. Wish me luck!

It’s no secret I love the red, black, cream and kraft color combinations – they just look great together! This LO with the adorable little doggy is just too cute! He looks like he is smiling for the camera!

I also really like the use of the same picture in a film-strip like presentation – pretty clever! The whimsical hand cut oversized scallops and the pieced together houses just add the perfect touch. This is a great LO!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I LOVE this Rose! How PRETTY!! I can’t wait to get some ‘Clearly for Art Modeling Film’. Now I can custom make flowers for my projects by choosing the right alcohol inks – that is going to be so much fun! I have been making paper flowers like these, so I think I will get the hang of making these pretty quick. You heat and mold this clear film – that will make shaping the petals so fun and easy!

Is the Scrapbooking with Birds Trend Here to Stay?

The timing with this post on Scrapbook.com is just right (click on the link below to see the post). I have been noticing for a while that birds just keep coming back with every release. If I recall correctly, it started with the owl trend and then cutesy birds. Now it seems like they are here and there in all kinds of ways. What do you think? Do you like them? Are they here to stay or just a fad that will pass?

Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

I saw this recipe on Betty Crocker and they looked so good I thought I’d post it here for you all, too! Scroll down to get the link!

Filling

1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)

1 egg

3 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Brownies

1 box Betty Crocker® Premium Brownies Ultimate Fudge

1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tablespoons water

1 egg

1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom only of 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. In small bowl, beat all filling ingredients with electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Set aside.
2. Make brownie batter as directed on box, using 1/4 cup oil, 2 tablespoons water and the egg. Spread 3/4 of the batter in pan. Spoon filling by tablespoonfuls evenly over batter. Spoon remaining brownie batter over filling. Cut through batter several times with knife for marbled design.
3. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted 1 inch from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

Makes 16 brownies
